About Me...

Amanda Erlandson, LCSW Therapist Trained in Brainspotting, CBT and DBT

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) working with adolescents, young adults and adults. I began my career in social work helping homeless individuals and families work towards self-sufficiency.  From there, I moved on to working within the prison system to help mentally ill inmates navigate the stressors of incarceration. When I moved back to California after graduate school I spent many years working at a psychiatric hospital as well as several local emergency rooms and have been able to see the struggles individuals and families face when trying to find quality mental healthcare and support.

Over this past two years with the COVID-19 pandemic I have witnessed the emotional impact isolation has had on our communities. I have witnessed, first-hand, the trauma that the last two years have had on all of us, whether it be onset of new feelings of depression, anxiety and grief or an exacerbation of previously held symptoms. The beautiful thing, is that through all of this stress and anxiety about the future, I have witnessed how resilient humans are and am absolutely amazed to have watched individuals and families learn and grow. I believe with that with the right tools, encouragement and structure we can overcome.

I offer an opportunity for each client to develop personalized goals in a safe and inviting atmosphere where each individual has an opportunity to grow and improve at their own pace. Just as no two people are the same, no two treatment plans are the same, let's find a path that works best for you or your teen.

I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation where we can chat and discuss your goals. This will give us an opportunity to determine if we are a good fit and, if so, can move forward to our first appointment.
